An artists gratitude

TODAY I FOUND MYSELF REFLECTING ON THE STRANGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WORLD I LIVE IN AS AN ARTIST AND THE WORLD THAT POWERS EVERYTHING BEHIND THE SCENES. IT HIT ME IN A QUIET, UNEXPECTED WAY — JUST A SIMPLE THOUGHT ABOUT HOW COMPLEX THE DIGITAL LANDSCAPE HAS BECOME, AND HOW GRATEFUL I AM THAT MY LIFE DOESN’T NEED TO BE PART OF THAT COMPLEXITY.

WHEN I LOOK AT THE IT AND AI WORLD, I SEE PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO HOLD ENTIRE SYSTEMS IN THEIR HEADS. THEY HAVE TO LEARN CONSTANTLY, ADAPT WEEKLY, AND KEEP UP WITH CHANGES THAT ARRIVE WITHOUT WARNING. DASHBOARDS SHIFT, PLATFORMS UPDATE, LINKS BREAK, NEW FEATURES APPEAR, OLD ONES DISAPPEAR. IT’S A FAST‑PACED, EVER‑CHANGING ENVIRONMENT WHERE NOTHING STANDS STILL FOR LONG.

AND THEN THERE’S ME — AN ARTIST WITH A DIFFERENT KIND OF LIFE. MY WORLD IS BUILT ON PATTERN, NOT COMPLEXITY. INPUT → OUTPUT → SHARE. A SIMPLE LOOP THAT MAKES SENSE TO ME. A DAILY RHYTHM THAT DOESN’T NEED TO be decoded or maintained. I CREATE, I POST, I SHARE, AND I MOVE ON. MY LIFE ISN’T LESS THAN THE IT WORLD — IT’S JUST UNCLUTTERED.

I FEEL A KIND OF GRATITUDE FOR THAT. GRATITUDE THAT MY DAYS ARE SHAPED BY COLOUR, FORM, AND THOUGHT, NOT BY SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE OR PLATFORM LOGIC. GRATITUDE THAT I CAN LIVE INSIDE A CREATIVE FLOW WITHOUT HAVING TO UNDERSTAND THE MACHINERY THAT CARRIES MY WORK OUTWARD. GRATITUDE THAT MY LIFE CAN BE SIMPLE IN ITS STRUCTURE EVEN WHEN IT’S COMPLEX IN ITS FEELING.

THERE’S A CERTAIN PEACE IN KNOWING THAT I DON’T HAVE TO HOLD EVERYTHING. I DON’T HAVE TO MASTER EVERY PLATFORM OR LEARN EVERY NEW DIGITAL SHIFT. I JUST HAVE TO FOLLOW MY PATTERN — THE ONE THAT MAKES SENSE TO ME. THE ONE THAT KEEPS ME CREATING. THE ONE THAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED.

TODAY, THAT FEELS LIKE A KIND OF QUIET BLESSING. A REMINDER THAT MY ARTISTIC LIFE IS ENOUGH. THAT MY WAY OF MOVING THROUGH THE WORLD DOESN’T NEED TO mirror the complexity around me. THAT I CAN BE GRATEFUL FOR THE SIMPLICITY OF MY OWN PATH.

AN ARTIST’S GRATITUDE ISN’T LOUD. IT’S NOT PERFORMED. IT’S JUST A SMALL, HONEST RECOGNITION THAT LIFE CAN BE FULL WITHOUT BEING OVERLOADED — AND THAT SOMETIMES, THE SIMPLEST PATTERN IS THE ONE THAT CARRIES YOU FORWARD

A Quiet Return It’s been a few years since anything new appeared on this blog. No dramatic exit, no crisis, no grand story — just life unfolding in its own quiet way while I wandered off into a long stretch of creative exploration. I didn’t spend that time chasing expectations or trying to produce anything impressive. In fact, it was the opposite. I let myself make things without pressure, without anticipation, and without any need for an audience. It was a good kind of absence — the sort that gives you space to breathe and rediscover what you enjoy. Along the way, painting slipped out of my hands. Not abandoned in frustration, just… released. It had carried me through many chapters, but eventually it felt like a language I’d said enough in. So I turned to sculpture, almost by accident, and found myself on a long, meandering tour through every material within reach. Papier‑mâché came first — messy, forgiving, and strangely liberating.Foam followed, stubborn but full of possibility.Cardboard had its moment too, proving far more architectural than I expected. Each material taught me something different about form, weight, and patience. And then, gradually, I settled into polymer clay. It felt right — structured but flexible, expressive without demanding perfection. It opened a new path, and with it came another journey: exploring genre, tone, and character in ways paint never quite allowed. So yes, I’ve been away. But not idle.Just quietly occupied in the kind of creative work that doesn’t need announcing. Now the blog returns — not as a relaunch, not as a promise, but simply as a continuation. A place to share what I’ve been shaping, learning, and enjoying along the way. If you’ve found your way back here too, welcome. Let’s see where this next chapter leads.
